Bristol, TN- Not long after a home defeat versus King on March 25th, head coach Keegan Johnson had a smile on her face that is not normally worn by a coach whose team had just been defeated. Coach Johnson saw the bigger picture, she saw the fight her team was competing with and she saw great opportunity. Opportunity to fine tune, get healthy and continue to build upon a season that was very much just getting started. Fast forward 3 weeks and 3 wins later, the Valkyries captured a conference title this afternoon by beating King and avenging that loss from earlier in the season. Converse led wire to wire and closed out the Tornado with a 5 point win in the team event, solidifying the 273.080-266.905 win. This win marks the first Conference Tournament Championship in Converse College history as well as the first ever Conference Carolinas Acrobatics and Tumbling Championship in league history. 

In addition to the team title, Converse also captured 6 individual Conference Event Championships-
