BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) unveiled their annual All-American list for the 2021 season, Converse University midfielder Mira Polzer (Munich, Germany) earned First Team honors following a record-breaking season for the Valkyries.
 
This is the second First Team All-America honor bestowed upon Polzer this week after she earned an All-America accolade from synapse.com. Polzer joins Limestone's Kelly Diplock as the only players from the SAC/CC on the All-America list. With the First Team nod from the NFHCA, Polzer also becomes the first field hockey player in Converse history to be named a consensus First Team All-American.
 
The sophomore ended the season as an NCAA Statistical Champion and became the first player in program history to earn SAC/CC Offensive Player of the Year honors. The two-time First Team All-Conference selection finished the season with a team high 31 points, 57 total shots and 33 shots on goal. The German native helped guide the Valkyries to their first double-digit win season in program history and their first regular season and tournament championships. For Polzer this is her second national postseason honor of her career.
