The Series
For the first time in program history the Valkyries are headed to the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Tournament. Converse and North Greenville are meeting for just the second time in program history and the second time this season. The Crusaders got the better of the Valkyries with a 2-1 win at Pepsi Stadium in early October. Tim Boeckstaens scored the Valkyries lone goal of the evening against the Crusaders.
 
Converse Notes:

• The Valkyries are 8-8-2 this season and 4-6-1 in Conference Carolinas play.
• Converse is coming off a 1-0 win over Barton College on Saturday afternoon. Jaxon Keene scored the game-winning goal in the final moments of the game to elevate the Valkyries past the Bulldogs.
• The Valkyries are averaging 2.06 goals per game and 14.3 shots per contest.
• Hayden Gensler and Fabio Pasini are tied for the team lead with 16 points this season. Pasini a former Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week, leads the team with 8 goals this season, while former Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month Hayden Gensler is second on the team with 7 goals this season.
• David Windmiller the reigning Defensive Player of the Week has played almost every minute in goal for the Valkyries this season and has recorded 65 saves on 209 shots faced.

 
North Greenville Notes Notes:

• North Greenville is 7-6-3 overall and 4-5-2 in Conference Carolinas action this season.
• The Crusaders are 7-3-1 at home this season and they are coming off a 1-1 tie to Carolina University on Saturday evening.
• North Greenville is averaging 1.31 goals per game and just over 12 shots per contest.
• Christopher Holscher has emerged as the go to person for the Crusaders this season. Holscher leads the team in goals scored (6), points (13), total shots (31), shots on goal (15) and game-winning goals (2).
• Gareth Greene is second on the team in goals scored (4), points (12), total shots (29) and shots on goal (15). Greene leads the team with four assists on the season.
• Reno Van Der Meer has started all 15 games in goal for the Crusaders this season. Van Der Meer has recorded 68 assists on 195 shots faced.
