HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Converse came out of the gate strong, taking the first draw control of the game down the field where Ciriaca Petitto found a crease in the defense and blasted the ball into the back of the net, giving Converse a 1-0 lead just 49 ticks in.
However, Lee took complete control of the game, taking the next 14 goals of the first half. Cassidy O'Neill broke the streak with just under six minutes to play in the opening period, cashing in on a free position shot, trimming the deficit to 14-2. Lee added one more goal before halftime and took a 15-2 lead into the break.
Second Half
Just as the first half started, Converse was the early aggressor, tacking on the first goal of the second half. Haleigh McSwain cut through the box and took a beautiful pass from O'Neill before calmly placing the rock in the back of the net.
Unfortunately, Lee ended the game by taking the final eight goals, earning the 23-3 win over the Valkyries.
