SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Valkyries lacrosse team was defeated by Pfeiffer in a Conference Carolinas match 19-7 on Monday evening.  Converse drops to 3-10 on the season and 2-5 in league play.  Pfeiffer improves to 5-10 on the season and 5-2.

Brittni Jones led the Valkyries in scoring with a hat-trick.  Aubrie Lauderdale netted two goals.  Elizabeth Gabriele and Ashlei Alston posted one goal each.

Jessi Walters and Kasey Halodik tallied one assist each.

The Valkyries started off the match quickly scoring 2:02 into the contest with a goal by Ashlei Alston.  Pfeiffer responded scoring five straight goals.

Brittni Jones netted her first goal of the hat-trick on a free position goal midway through the first half.  The Falcons would add three more goals to take an 8-2 lead with 12:46 left in the first half.

Back-to-back goals by Brittni Jones closed the gap to 8-4 with just under nine minutes left in the half.  Kasey Halodik assisted on Jones' third goal.

Pfeiffer scored five goals to end the half leading 13-4.

Aubrie Lauderdale attempted to spark the Valkyries scoring back-to-back goals just 2:07 into the second half to cut it to 13-6.

Elizabeth Gabriele would score the final goal for the Valkyries at the 20:25 mark as Pfeiffer scored the final four goals to take the contest 19-7.

Converse returns to the field on Thursday, April 21 against North Greenville for the season finale.  Opening draw is at 7pm with senior night festivities prior.
