Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Converse Soccer team was able to find the equalizer, but the nationally-ranked Limestone Saints were able to post the go-ahead score with less than five minutes in regulation to take the 2-1 victory in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Half
- Mariah Elliott recorded the first shot of the contest for the Valkyries in the 4th minute but was saved by the Saints keeper.
- Limestone had a chance in the 29' that looked like a goal but grazed the left side of the net for a goal kick.
- The Saints were able to find the back of the net in the 36' off the boot of Emily Ludwig. Ludwig found some space and sent it in from 25 yards out finding the cross bar and dropping in behind the keeper for the early 1-0 lead.
- Limestone recorded nine shots in the first half with five on frame.
- Josee Waitrovich recorded three saves in the half.
2nd Half
- Converse picked up the pace in the second half with 10 shots compared to one in the first half.
- Anna Meister netted the equalizer in the 76' as the freshman dribbled around defenders in the box and found the back of the net in the far post. Meister's goal was the first of her career.
- In the 82' of play, Sara Dorsett flicked a header towards the cage put missed just left.
- As time was winding down, Limestone caught a break as Holly Rawcliffe sent a ball to leading scorer Megan O'Connor. O'Connor sent a shot that bounced off the keeper and bounced across the line for the 2-1 advantage.
