FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Converse University men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Emmanuel on Wednesday evening at the Stephen Lee Complex.
With the loss Converse drops to 2-2-3 overall and 1-1-2 in Conference Carolinas action this season. Meanwhile, Emmanuel improves to 3-2-1 overall and 3-0-0 in Conference Carolinas play this year.
The Valkyries offense outshot Emmanuel 20-12 overall but both team tied with seven shots on goal for the evening. However, the Valkyries never found the back of the net besides multiple shot attempts against the Lions backline.
Emmanuel scored first in the 35
th minute when Enzo Joly found Devin Brown for the first goal of the contest. It did not take long in the second half as Jacob Gil Monroy found Joly for the second goal of the contest.
Next up for the Valkyries:
Converse will return home and battel Young Harris on Saturday evening. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Weisiger Stadium.
