SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University equestrian team is headed to Statesboro, Georgia this weekend to compete in the Georgia Southern Showdays on Saturday and Sunday.
Back in the fall the Valkyries finished top-five in both weekend Showdays.
Halle Aho and
Anna Mallen both qualified for Regionals in the first show of the year. Last time out at the College of Charleston show,
Catelyn Caughman picked up her first collegiate win in the Intro Flat event.
Shannon Goldy won the limit fences event and
Bailey Smith finished second in the novice flat event. Aho podiumed for the Valkyries in the Novice Flat event.
On the second day of competition, Goldy won the limit fences for the second day in a row and she finished the day as the Reserve High Point Rider.
Lani Pardue won the open flat event and
Laci Matthews finished second in the novice flat event.
