Valkyries Wrap Up Homestand with Lees-McRae and Southern Wesleyan

Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter the final two games of a five-game homestand after most recently dropping games to USC Aiken and UNC Pembroke. They opened the homestand with a record-shattering 19-0 victory over Allen.
  • Junior forward Hannah Liebig leads the team in scoring with 12 points. She has tallied five goals (team lead) and two assists (tied for team lead) this season.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Gabriella Gudeman has one solo shutout and one combined shutout this season. She has a save percentage of 0.778 and a goals allowed average of 1.12.
  • Wednesday's game against Lees-McRae will serve as the team's purple reign game.
 
Lees-McRae Notes:
  • Lees-McRae enters the match 1-3 on the season. They most recently dropped a conference road contest to Young Harris 2-1.
  • The Bobcats have scored in all but one of their games, a 6-0 defeat at the feet of Lenior-Rhyne.
  • Freshman forward Aubrey Tansey leads the team in scoring with four points, all coming off of her two goals scored in the team's Sept. 4 game against Lincoln Memorial.

Southern Wesleyan Notes:
  • The Warriors enter the week 0-2 and face off with Newberry on Wednesday, Sept. 17. They have lost their two games by a combined score of 10-1.
  • Sophomore Bailey Meyer has scored the team's only goal entering the week.
  • The Warriors have used just one goalie this season, senior Katelyn O'Neill.
