Valkyries’ Five-Game Homestand Continues Against USC Aiken and UNC Pembroke

  • The Valkyries enter the two-game stretch after rewriting the record book in their 19-0 victory over Allen.
  • Junior forward Hannah Liebig tied the program record for points in a game with four goals and two assists against Allen.
  • The Valkyries' goalkeepers, sophomore Gabriella Gudeman and freshman Julia Salo, combined for a shutout against Allen.
 
USC Aiken Notes:
  • USC Aiken enters the match 1-1 on the season. They beat Saint Leo 4-1 to open the season, but dropped a 2-0 contest to Francis Marion on Sunday, Sept. 7.
  • The team's four goals were evenly distributed by four Pacers. The two assists were also produced by two different Pacers.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Savannah Yerger has appeared in all 180 minutes for the Pacers.

UNC Pembroke Notes:
  • The Braves are 0-1 on the season after dropping a 4-2 game to No. 12 North Georgia. They take on Lenoir-Rhyne tonight, Sept. 10.
  • Senior forward Mercy Bell and senior defender Maya McDonald scored the team's two goals.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Addison Ellsworth recorded four saves in her collegiate debut.
