TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Converse University men's soccer team (6-6-3, 5-4-3 Conference Carolinas) suffered deja vu as they fell 1-0 to the division-champion North Greenville Trailblazers (9-4-3, 6-3-3 Conference Carolinas) propelled by a second-half goal from North Greenville.

North Greenville attempted nine shots in the game while Converse attempted eight. The Trailblazers put five shots on-target while the Valkyries had a trio of such shots.

The Valkyries attempted just two shots in the first half, both coming within a 10-second stretch about 13 minutes into the game. It took North Greenville almost another 15 minutes to attempt their first shot of the game.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, North Greenville scored the first and only goal of the game. Freshman Owen Nero attempted two shots in the final minutes of the game, both of which were saved by the Trailblazers' keeper as they held on to win 1-0.

Next Up:
The Valkyries wrap up the 2025 regular season at home on Saturday, Nov. 1. They will host the King Tornado for senior day. The game is set to begin at 5 P.M.
