Women’s Soccer Looks to Spoil Bobcats’ Senior Day

The Valkyries enter the match after defeating King 3-1 on the road on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Senior forward Skylar Lund led the way with two goals.
Junior forward Hannah Liebig leads the team in scoring with 19 points coming from seven goals and five assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Julia Salo started her first career game on Tuesday against the Tornado. She recorded six saves on seven shots faced, earning her first career win.

Lees-McRae Notes:

Lees-McRae enters the match with the exact same record as the Valkyries after drawing a nonconference match against Tusculum 1-1 on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Freshman forward Aubrey Tansey leads the Bobcats in scoring with eight points. She has scored four goals this season.
Both of the Bobcats' goalies have spent a considerable amount of time in goal this season. Sophomore keeper Kaitlin Filippo has played about 100 minutes more in goal this season but has not played since the team's Oct. 1 game against Ferrum. Freshman Laura Walker played the entire game against Tusculum on Wednesday. She also played all 90 minutes against the Valkyries earlier this season.
