SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Battling another top regional foe on Wednesday night, the Converse University women's soccer team (2-3, 1-0 Conference Carolinas) fell to the Lander Bearcats (4-0-1) by a final score of 3-0 at Weisiger Stadium.

Lander used their possession advantage to also hold a shots advantage, 10-3 in the first half and 14-4 for the full game.

The Bearcats kicked off the scoring in the 15th minute and added another in the 30th minute. Lander added the final goal of the game in the 76th minute. 

The Valkyries return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 21 as they head to Belmont, North Carolina for a divisional matchup with Belmont Abbey. The match is set to begin at 4:30 P.M.
