TIGERVILLE, S.C. – For the second time in the program's four-year history, the Converse University men's soccer team (9-1-7, 6-0-6 Conference Carolinas) has completed their Conference Carolinas slate undefeated by drawing with the North Greenville Trailblazers (3-3-7, 1-3-7 Conference Carolinas) 1-1 Monday night at Pepsi Stadium.

The other time the Valkyries went undefeated in conference play was when they won the 2022 regular season championship and earned the top seed in that year's tournament. The Valkyries' went on to win that tournament and earn Converse's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in any sport.

An early Converse foul in the box resulted in a ninth-minute goal for the Trailblazers, giving them a first-half lead.

That lead did not stay intact long in the second half, as senior Hayden Gensler netted his third goal in as many games to draw the game even once again. Freshman Amro Shibeika earned his third career point on the goal. The team's leading scorer, junior Guilherme Fontes, also earned an assist on the goal.

The Valkyries made two attempts inside of the final three minutes of the match, both coming from Shibeika, but the first sailed wide right and the second was called back due to offsides. With that offside callback coming with just under 30 seconds left in the match, the Valkyries were forced to settle for another 1-1 draw.

As the second seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament, the Valkyries are not back on the pitch until the tournament's semifinal round which will be hosted at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina on Nov. 15. The Valkyries game is set to kickoff at 7:30 P.M.
