FLORENCE, S.C. – Without dropping a single match at the two-day LAN event, the Converse University Rocket League team was crowned Peach Belt Champions at the PBC Fall Esports Festival this past weekend. Jakob "LSM" Jenkins was named the tournament MVP.

The Valkyries entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed and defeated the top-seeded Montevallo Falcons and the second-ranked Kennesaw State Owls, a frequent annoyance of all Converse esports teams.

Converse opened play by defeating North Georgia in Friday's opening round and rounded out the day with victory over Kennesaw State. Saturday opened with victory over Montevallo to claim the winner's bracket championship, putting the team directly into grand finals after three matches.

After letting the other teams decide who would have the pleasure of losing to the Valkyries, Florida Southern emerged victorious and the grand finals were set.

The teams evenly split the first two games 2-2 before the Valkyries took games five and six to seal the deal and claim the conference crown.
