This will be the first ever meeting between Converse and Lander.
 
Morgan's Message Game
September is the National Suicide Prevention Month, Converse and Lander have agreed to dedicate Friday's night game to Morgan's Message. Morgan's Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. We aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence and supporting those who feel alone.
 
Promotion
The first 50 students that arrive to the game will receive a free rally towel.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 2-0 on the season after defeating Franklin Pierce (7-0) and Southern New Hampshire (5-1) in the opening weekend of the season.
• Sophomore Forward Lotte Kanters was named South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after she scored five combined goals over the weekend. Kanters also broke the school record for fastest hat trick and currently leads the nation in goals per game (2.50) and points per game (5.50).
• Freshman center back Josephine Jense was named South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts along the Valkyries back line. Jense helped anchor a Valkyrie defense that allowed just two total shots and just one goal.
• As a team the Valkyries are averaging 6.00 goals per game, 24.0 total shots per game, 18 shot on goal per game, and five assists per game.
• Kanters leads the team in goals (5), points (11), total shots (16), shots on goal (13) and game-winning goals (2).
• Kilee Bradeen is second on the team with a trio of goals, while Emily Whitlow is third on the team with two goals.
• Catalina Pistaccio, Aubree Dorsey and Luisa Fasold are all tied for the team lead in assists with two each.
• All four goalies have gotten to play for the Valkyries this year, with freshman Madison Shorey making the only save of the season so far.

 
Lander Notes:

• This will be the first official game for the Lander Field Hockey program.
