SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With a 3-2 win over Belmont Abbey on Wednesday night, the Converse University men's soccer team moves to the top of the Conference Carolinas standings by being the only team to be undefeated. The Valkyries are now 6-1-1 overall and 4-0 in conference action while the Crusaders fall to 1-5-3 overall and 0-2-3 in conference play.
Sergi Quixal had a huge night for Converse, scoring two out of the team's three goals. Quixal led the team with five shots and four shots on goal.
Sinan Kilincarslan followed with two shots while
Johannes Haden had one shot and one goal. Keeper
David Windmiller ended the night with four saves.
