The Series
This will be the first ever meeting between Converse and Maryville University
 
Converse Notes:
  • Converse is 4-0 overall and 2-0 in South Atlantic Conference action this season. The Valkyries are coming off a 5-0 win over Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday evening.
  • Converse set a school record for shots in a game (35) and shots on goal (19). The defense held the Railsplitters to a program low 0 shots allowed on Tuesday.    
  • Sophomore Forward Lotte Kanters currently leads the nation in points per game (4.75) and goals per game (2.25), while Luisa Fasold is second in the nation in assists per game (1.25).
  • Josephine Jense earned South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week to open the season. Jense helps anchor a back line that has allowed just 7 total shots this season.  
  • As a team the Valkyries are averaging 5.50 goals per game, 27.5 total shots per game, 17.5 shots on goal per game, and 4.25 assists per game.
  • Kanters leads the team in goals (9), points (19), total shots (37), shots on goal (27) and game-winning goals (2).
  • Kilee Bradeen is second on the team with four goals, while Catalina Pistaccio and Caroline Blair each have a trio of goals this season.  
  • Fasold leads the team with five assists on the year, Pistaccio and Bradeen each have three assists on the season.
  • All four goalies have gotten to play for the Valkyries this year, with freshman Madison Shorey making a trio of saves so far.  
 
Maryville Notes:
  • Maryville is 2-1 overall this season and is coming off a 1-0 road win over Limestone on Thursday night.
  • Delanie Winkelmann scored the lone goal in the game as Maryville was outshot 12-7 on the pitch.
  • Maryville is averaging 1.00 goals per game, 4.0 shots per game and only two assists this season.
  • Winkelmann leads the team with a pair of goals on four total shots. Tia Sansone is the only other player with a goal on the Maryville roster.
  • Liz Bierhals has started all three games in goal this season and has made 23 saves on the year. Bierhals is posting a .885 save percentage on the season.
