Women’s Soccer Drops First Road Game of the Season

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Converse University women's soccer team dropped its first away game of the season on Tuesday afternoon by a 1-0 final score against USC Beaufort. The Valkyries drop to 1-2 on the season while the Sand Sharks improve to 2-0.
 
Jasmine Hernandez and Shelby McCutchen each got a shot off for Converse in the first half while four shots were taken for USC Beaufort. The Valkyries picked up the pace in the second half, taking four shots, but the lone goal of the game was scored in the 63rd minute by Sand Shark Mari Kalvatn.
 
Kaylee Couder led the team with two shots with Reagan Cash and Skylar Lund following with one each.
