MURFREESBORO, N.C. – In a road game on Saturday afternoon against the second-best team in the Conference Carolinas, Converse University's men's soccer program tied with the Hawks in a 2-2 final. The Valkyries are now 9-1-2 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play. Chowan is 5-4-3 overall and 5-1-2 in conference action.
 
Play was evenly matched between the two teams with Converse out shooting Chowan 15-14 and tallying up five saves compared to Chowan's six saves.
 
Sergi Quixal scored the first point for the Valkyries from a penalty kick. Hayden Gensler scored the other goal after having two shots on goal. Gensler's goal was assisted by Nicholas Gartung who took one shot himself during the game.
