BANNER ELK, N.C. – In a tough road trip, Converse University men's soccer team secured a 2-1 win and once again, is in the top spot in the Conference Carolinas standings. The win makes the Valkyries 8-1-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference while Lees-McRae falls to 5-2-3 overall and 3-1-2 in Conference Carolinas action.
 
The Bobcats out shot the Valkyries 12-5 in the game, however, the single goal from a penalty kick by Sergi Quixal and a big mistake by the Lees-McRae team secured the win for Converse. Quixal led the team with three shots while Ricky Cardozo and Feliz Frenz each took one shot.
 
In goal, David Windmiller made three saves after seeing four shots while Bobcats goalie Joshua Garvilla walked away with zero saves.
