The Series
Converse University and UNC Pembroke are meeting for the sixth time in program history on Saturday evening. The Braves are 5-0 against the Valkyries dating back to the 2002 season. Converse has allowed at least five goals in four consecutive matches against the Braves dating back to the 2003 season. UNC Pembroke last made the trek up to Spartanburg in 2019 and came away with a 5-0 win over the Valkyries.

UNC Pembroke Notes: 
  • UNC Pembroke is 5-3 overall and 4-0 in Conference Carolinas action.
  • The Braves were ranked No. 9 in the latest Southeast Region Poll, joining Mount Olive as the only two Conference Carolinas teams to be included in the poll.
  • UNC Pembroke has won four straight matches dating back to a September 18th road win over Lees-McCrae.
  • The Braves are coming off a 3-0 win over Shaw on Monday evening. Rilee Seering played a part in all three-goals as she scored a pair and then assisted on the final goal of the evening.
  • All three-goals were scored in the first 10 minutes of the contest against Shaw, with the first goal coming just 18 seconds into the game.
  • The Braves are averaging 2.25 goals per game and 19.6 shots per game.
  • Seering leads the team in goals scored (7), points (17), total shots (42) shots on goal (19) and game-winning goals (2).
  • Chiara Coppin has played all 720 minutes in goal for the Braves this season. Coppin has recorded 26 saves on 85 shots faced.
