Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Converse Soccer scored four goals in the second half, three by Nicole Doolittle to propel the Valkyries past Southern Wesleyan in a 6-4 goal fest. With the win, the Valkyries clinched a spot in the Conference Carolinas tournament next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Half
- Converse started off the match strong as Mariah Elliott hit the cross bar in the ninth minute.
- Claudia Coffin would break the scoreless match in the 25' from outside the box putting it on the top shelf.
- Less than two minutes late Mariah Elliott would find the back of the net ripping a shot from outside the box off the pas from Alex Marquez.
- SWU would get on the board late in the first half as the teams headed into the break 2-1.
2nd Half
- Nicole Doolittle started her scoring in the 67' as the Warriors tried to clear the ball out of the box finding the thigh of Halley Wisner. Wisner would play the ball up to Doolittle for the goal.
- SWU would storm back cutting the lead down to 3-2 in the 71st minute.
- Doolittle would find the back of the net for her second goal of the match as Mariah Elliott played the ball up and was misplayed by the Warriors' keeper allowing Doolittle the wide open netter.
- Less than a minute later SWU find the back of the net on a breakaway.
- SWU would knot things at four in the 81st minute.
- The score did not stay tied long as Alex Marquez responded with a goal just 19 seconds later after stealing the throw-in and putting it far post from the left wing.
- Nicole Doolittle gave the Valkyries the extra cushion netting the program's fifth ever hat-trick and a program best 10th goal of the season off the corner kick from Julia Babic.
