FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA.- Goal by Natalie Johnson in the 70' provides the lift the Valkyries needed to move to 9-1 on the season and remain unbeaten and untied in the Conference Carolinas at 5-0 on Saturday night.  Emmanuel falls to 2-6 on the season and 0-4 in league play.

Olivia Grose (Milford, Mass.) sent a through ball up to Mariah Elliott (Tolland, Conn.), who found Johnson (Leicester, England) inside the box.  Johnson found the back of the net for her third goal of the season putting the Valkyries up 2-1 in the 70' where the match would stand.

Converse scored in the 12' minute to take an early 1-0 lead off the foot of Georgia Jones (Solihull, England).  Elliott was credited with the assist on the goal.

Emmanuel tied things up in the 47' coming out of the locker room off a miscue on the Lion cross.  Emmanuel finished the match with four shots on the evening with two being on goal.

Converse tallied 19 shots with 13 being on target.  Converse recorded 5 corner kicks with Emmanuel tallying 3.

The Valkyries will take a step out of conference play as they travel to Columbia, S.C. to face Columbia (S.C.) Oct. 8.  First touch is at 7pm.
