LAS VEGAS – The Converse University Athletic Communications Department won five total awards at the Digital and Design contest this year.
"Every year we strive to be not only the best Communication Department in the Conference but the best Communication Department in the Region," Director of Athletic Communications William Meyer said. "To be recognized nationally for a second straight year shows the standard for excellence has been set for years to come. At this time, I would like to thank my assistants for this past year Caleb Browder and Camryn Findley for their hard work and dedication for this department. I look forward to seeing our department continue to grow in the upcoming academic year."
In the major awards and championship graphics category of the contest, the department's graphic celebrating the First Team All-Conference accolades for men's soccer freshman Jacob Bandel placed fifth overall in the Best of Division II. The graphic also placed eighth overall in the College Division which is made up of NCAA Division II, III and NAIA institutions.
In the GameDay graphics category of the contest, the department's Purple Reign game graphic for women's soccer finished 20th overall in the College Division and 12th overall in the Best of Division II. The department also finished 14th overall in the Best of Division II for their Field Hockey MVP Night graphic.
