SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The College Sports Communicators announced today their Academic All-District teams and two members of the Converse University women's basketball team received the honor: senior Mazie Helpman and junior Lisa Lorenz Conrotto.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA and sophomore status both academically and athletically. A student-athlete must also play in 90% of the team's games or start in 66% of the games.

Helpman, a senior economics major from Bryson City, North Carolina, appeared in all 28 games this season for the Valkyries, making 27 starts. She tallied 360 points, 12.9 per game, and secured 140 rebounds. She tallied a career-high 27 points on Dec. 16 against King.

Lorenz Conrotto, a junior business administration from Barcelona, Spain, appeared in 26 games and made eight starts this season. She tallied 22 points in 298 total minutes, securing 33 rebounds. She dished out 22 assists.
