GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced their weekly basketball awards on Monday afternoon, Converse University student-athlete
Jordyn Surratt has been named Offensive Player of the Week.
Last week, Surratt helped the Valkyries to a 2-1 week with wins over Francis Marion and Erskine. The senior averaged 22.0 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 11 total assists and seven total steals. To start out the week, Surratt scored 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals against King.
Then on Thursday night, Surratt scored his 1,000
th career point against Francis Marion. Surratt finished the game with 21 points, five rebounds and two assists against the Patriots. In his final game of the week against Erskine, Surratt scored 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Surratt and the rest of the men's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday evening at Shorter University.
