The Series
This will be the third all-time meeting between Converse and Francis Marion dating back to the 2023 season. The Valkyries are 2-0 all-time against the Patriots, last season Converse defeated Francis Marion 237.285-233.880.   
 
Converse Notes:

• This will be the first meet of the season for Converse and their first year under head coach Sierra Bombard.
• The Valkyries went 4-6 overall last season and 4-4 in Conference Carolinas action, and made it to the Conference Carolinas quarterfinals for the fifth straight season.
• Converse was picked to finish sixth overall in the Conference Carolinas Coaches Preseason Poll.
• Madison Seymour (Lockport, Ill.) the 2024 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year was picked as a Player to Watch for the Valkyries this season.
• Joining Seymour on the Conference Carolinas Players to Watch list is Kaylah Belle Danjczek (Berryville, Va.) and newcomer Kendra Bryan (Rock Hill, S.C.).  

Francis Marion Notes:

• Francis Marion went 1-8 overall last season and 1-7 in Conference Carolinas play. The Patriots are entering their third season as a collegiate acrobatics and tumbling program.
• The Patriots were picked to finish eighth overall in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll, finishing just ahead of King and Newberry.
• Destiny Keve returns for the Patriots and is looking to build off a 2025 Second Team All-Conference performance from a season ago.
• Joining Keve on the Conference Carolinas Preseason Players to Watch list are Eilee Gonzales and Keirstyn Rogers.
