Valkyries Take Short Trip to Queen City for Royals Cross Country Challenge

The Race:
Men's 8K & Women's 5K
Time: Men's Blue 8K 4:15 P.M. | Women's Gold 5K 5 P.M. | Men's Gold 8K 5:45 P.M.
Location: McAlpine Creek Park | Charlotte, N.C.

Men's Notes:

The Valkyries will compete in both the blue and gold 8Ks. The gold race is limited to 10 runners per team and the blue race allows unlimited entries per team.
The Valkyries moved up to ninth in the latest Southeast Region poll by the USTFCCCA.
Junior Ander Vera Moleres earned his second Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week award of the season by winning the blue 8K at the Louisville Classic last Saturday.

Women's Notes:

The Valkyries will compete in their third different distance in four races this season.
Sophomore Evie De Roos finished first for the Valkyries at the Louisville Classic, her first team-best finish of the season.
Fellow sophomore Ines Pierrefitte made her third team-top-two finish of the season last week, being the top finisher in the team's first two races.
