NEW ORLEANS – The Converse University women's cross country team entered the Southeast Regional poll by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the first time this season as released by the organization on Tuesday. The Valkyries are ranked 10th.

In their latest race, the Louisville Classic, the Valkyries finished eighth overall and were the second-best Division II team.

The Valkyries are joined in the regional rankings by a pair of Conference Carolinas teams: UNC Pembroke at fifth and North Greenville at ninth. The Trailblazers are the defending conference champions.

The Wingate Bulldogs, the 2025 national second runners up, sit atop the regional poll and are ranked third in the national poll.
