GREENVILLE, S.C. – By winning the Louisville Classic men's blue 8K and setting a new PR in the event, junior Ander Vera Moleres has earned his second Conference Carolinas Runner of the Week title.

Vera Moleres topped the leaderboard, which saw runners from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA, with a time of 25:05.7. He helped the Valkyries to a third-overall finish and the top finish among Division II teams. Aided by Vera Moleres' finishes this season, the Valkyries earned the No. 10 spot in the USTFCCCA's Southeast Region poll last week.

Saturday was the second time this season Vera Moleres has improved his personal-best time in the 8K, previously dropping his PR to a 25:33.5 at the Converse Kick-Off just two weeks prior.

The Valkyries return to the course on Friday, Oct. 9, as they head to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted in the afternoon by Queens University.
