BELMONT, N.C. - The Converse University tennis teams both fell in their conference matchups to the Belmont Abbey Crusaders Tuesday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center on the campus of Belmont Abbey College.

The Converse men's team fell to 10-5 overall and 5-2 in Conference Carolinas action. It also snapped the program-record nine-match win streak. The Converse women's team fell to 8-9 overall and 3-5 in Conference Carolinas action. Belmont Abbey, ranked No. 41 on the men's side, improved to 18-16 overall and 6-1 in conference play. The Crusader women improved to 13-16, 5-2 in conference play.

Women's Notes:

The Valkyries suffered just their second sweep of the season at the hands of the Crusaders. Junior Khushi Kharb forced a third set with a 6-4 victory in set two at No. 1 singles, but fell 10-6 in the tiebreaking set.

Men's Notes:

Sophomore Manuel Roncero claimed his first set at No. 1 singles but fell in his next two sets.

Junior Stanley Waters was the lone Valkyrie from either team to win his match, taking No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3.

Next Up For Converse:
The Valkyries wrap up the regular season with two matches at home. Both teams first host North Greenville at the Rose on Saturday, April 12. The matches are set to begin at 1:30 P.M.
