EMORY, Va.  – For the second time in three matches, the Converse University men's tennis team (4-4, 0-1 Conference Carolinas) completed a road sweep, this time defeating the Emory & Henry Wasps (1-6, 0-3 South Atlantic Conference) 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Richardson Tennis Courts on the campus of Emory & Henry University.

Junior Stanley Waters and sophomore Takuma Furumaki kicked off the match with a 6-2. Junior Marty Letessier and senior Leopold Morel won at No. 2 by a score of 6-1. Freshman Lucas Walker and Ben Hyde-Smith secured a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Manuel Roncero won at No. 1 singles 6-3 in consecutive sets. Waters won at No. 3 singles with a score of 6-2, 6-4. Walker won 6-0 in consecutive sets at No. 5 singles, securing the match.

Furumaki gave up just one game at No. 2 singles and won 6-0, 6-1. Letessier found similar success at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Morel rounded out the match with a 6-3, 6-0 victory

Next Up For Converse:
The Valkyries are back in action on Wednesday, March 12 as they host Benedict at the Rose. The match is set to begin at 2 P.M.
