Converse tips off a new era on Saturday as Kevin Lyons begins his head coaching career.
While the Valkyries have not contested a counted game this season, they did compete in an exhibition on Nov. 3 against Wofford.
Seniors Mazie Helpman and Andrea Gutierrez Ciordia both scored 21 points against the Terriers.
Helpman also led the Valkyries in rebounding with six.

Middle Georgia State Notes:

Middle Georgia State moved from NAIA to Division II this academic year, joining the Peach Belt.
Last season as a member of the NAIA, MGA posted a 3-19 record.
The team's leading returning scorer is senior India Johnson who tallied 117 points in 16 games last season.

Lincoln Memorial Notes:

Lincoln Memorial was selected to finish seventh in the SAC Preseason Poll this year.
LMU Seniors Alexa Smiddy and Kamil Collier were named to the SAC Preseason All-Conference Team. The Railsplitters were the only team in the conference to have two players on the preseason all-conference team.
Senior guard Alexa Smiddy led the team in scoring last year with 420 points. She started all 28 games for Lincoln Memorial during the 2024-25 season.
