BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Converse University Field Hockey team defeated D'Youville 3-0 on Friday afternoon at Dobson Field.
The Valkyries improved to 6-1 overall on the season with the victory, while D'Youville falls to 4-5 on the year. Senior
Catalina Pistaccio scored her fifth goal of the season and recorded her 100
th career point. Pistaccio is the first athlete in program history to join the prestigious club.
Converse came out ready to go in the opening minutes of the first quarter. Converse outshot the Saints 5-0 in the quarter and recorded four penalty corners in the period. With about three minutes to go in the frame,

In the second quarter, the Valkyries continued to put pressure on the Saints defense. Converse outshot D'Youville 4-0 in the period and 2-0 in penalty corner attempts. With four minutes left to go until the halftime break, Pistaccio scored the second goal of the night and recorded her 100
th career point in the process.
In the second half Converse outshot D'Youville 11-1 and finished the afternoon outshooting the Saints 15-1 in shots on goal. Just one minute into the fourth quarter,
