SPARTANBURG, S.C.  – The Converse University women's tennis team (5-9, 0-3 Conference Carolinas) dropped their matchup to the Lees-McRae Bobcats (9-3, 3-0 Conference Carolinas) 6-1 Thursday afternoon at the Sally Abney Rose Complex.

With the doubles point already decided, sophomore Khushi Kharb and senior Natalie White fought their way back to win No. 2 singles 7-6, taking the tiebreaker 7-3.

The Bobcats then won the first four singles matches completed. Sophomore Laurel Maynor took an 8-3 superset victory at No. 6 singles, earning Converse their lone point of the match.

The Valkyries return to the courts on Saturday, April 6 as they host conference-newcomers Young Harris at 1 P.M.
