SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Director of Athletics Jenn Bell announced the hiring of Molli Hensley as the new Spirit Squad Coach at Converse University.
"I am delighted to announce the hiring of Molli Hensley as our new spirit squad coach at Converse University." Bell went on to say, "Molli's experience both as a former collegiate athlete and current competitive cheer coach will be instrumental in shaping the foundation of our spirit squad program for years to come."
"I am delighted to be the new spirit squad head coach at Converse University," Hensley said. "I am looking forward to seeing this program grow and succeed. The Converse community has been so welcoming and I am anticipating a great season ahead."
Hensley is a local teacher in the Spartanburg community and is a cheer judge for cheer competitions and cheerleading tryouts at Dorman High School. Hensley is also a competitive cheer coach that instructs athletes from ages 5-to-15 in different competitive skills. Hensley, herself was captain of the Furman Cheerleading team her senior year of college. While at Furman, Hensley helped host cheer camps for children ages 4-to-18.
Converse is home to the only NCAA Division II athletic teams in Spartanburg and is a member of Conference Carolinas, whose membership is made up of private colleges and universities across the southeastern United States. For all the latest news, scores and updates log onto
