TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Converse University women's basketball team dropped a 53-44 road contest to North Greenville on Wednesday evening. The game started off by each team exchanging layups and jumpers before North Greenville went on a five-point run to gain a 7-4 lead over Converse. The Valkyries answered with seven points of their own, owning the 10-7 advantage with 4:58 left in the quarter. With one second remaining,
Amaia Parkins got a jumper in the paint to go in for Converse to go into the second quarter down 16-15.
Alisa Davenport sank a three-pointer to get the Valkyries the 18-16 to start the quarter. Abi Oates for the Crusaders shot her own three ball to get the lead back for North Greenville. Points would then be exchanged back and forth throughout the whole quarter.
