HARROGATE, TENN. – The Converse University Field Hockey team attempted a school record 35 shots against Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday afternoon on their way to a 5-0 win at the LMU lacrosse complex.
The Valkyries also set a school record for shots on goal with 19 and held the Railsplitters without a shot in the contest.
Converse came out swinging in the opening period as they barley let Lincoln Memorial cross the midfield stripe. The Valkyries attempted 12 total shots and 7 shots on goal in the opening period. The Valkyries broke through with three minutes left in the opening period as

Caroline Blair for the first goal of the game.
The Valkyries kept up the pressure in the second period of action with 10 total shots and 5 shots on goal. Kailee Bradeen found
Lotte Kanters for the second goal of the game. As the Valkyries went into the halftime break with a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half the Valkyries continued the offensive pressure as Bradeen found Kanters for her second goal of the contest. At the end of the period the Valkyries rounded out the quarter with a goal by Bradeen to make it a 4-0 advantage.
Midway through the fourth quarter
Luisa Fasold and Pistaccio connected for the fifth and final goal of the contest.
Caroline Bailey picked up the win in goal without ever having to face a shot against the Lincoln Memorial offense.
