Converse had a great first quarter, scoring the first four points of the game. Alisa Davenport contributed three of the points and then hit a three-pointer with five minutes left in the quarter to give Converse a 7-2 lead over Allen. The Valkyries racked up six more points off of free throws to go into the second quarter up 13-9.

Allen rebounded in the second quarter, out shooting Converse 15-8. Two of the eight points for the Valkyries would come from Sydney Wilson. An almost three-minute scoring pause would happen until Mary-Grace Durham added a point to the board from a free throw. From there, Allen would score seven unanswered points to bring them within two points of the Converse lead. The Yellow Jackets then went on a run, going into halftime with the 24-21 lead.

A deep three from Allen would give them a six-point lead to start the third quarter. Wilson would get the first Valkyrie point on the board with seven minutes left in the quarter. Allen's shots continued to go in for them as they would head into the final quarter with a 10-point lead.

The fourth quarter started with a pair of free throws made by Zahra Cross followed by a three-ball to bring Allen's advantage down to five points. Kayla Pope answered for the Yellow Jackets with her own three-pointer. Points would then be exchanged between the two teams throughout the rest of the quarter, but the Valkyries would not be able to catch Allen's lead as they fell 63-49.
