TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Converse University volleyball team fell 3-1 to North Greenville on Tuesday evening inside Hayes Gymnasium.
With the loss, Converse has now lost four straight matches for the second time this season. Meanwhile, North Greenville improves to 9-0 in Conference Carolinas action and remains atop the division.
Converse Notes
- The Valkyries recorded 30 total kills and hit .053 for the match against the Crusaders.
- As a team the Valkyries recorded six service aces, 11 blocks, 29 assists and 55 digs.
- Evelyn Fitz led the team with 8 kills on the night, while AC Garbade added 5 kills and Maddie Mount contributed 4 kills in the loss.
- Makenzie Schmucker had a season high three aces in the match, Mount led the team with 5 total blocks, while Jasmine Finkley contributed 4 blocks.
- Savannah Ducote had a team high 13 assists and Mackenzie Day registered 13 digs in the loss. Schmucker finished second on the team with 10 assists, while Jasmine Hamilton registered 11 digs in the loss.
North Greenville Notes
- North Greenville registered 48 kills and registered .175 hitting percentage.
- As a team the Crusaders recorded 8 service aces, 8 blocks, 46 assists and 55 digs.
- Abigail Durham led the team with 21 kills, Nicole Santiago finished with 11 kills and Paige Campbell added 6 kills in the win.
- Campbell also led the team with five blocks in the match, while Kelli Davis and Durham each contributed a trio of blocks.
- Ashlyn Conner led the team with 43 assists and Whitley Kahler recorded a team best 10 digs.
