History

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University volleyball team lost to Erskine 3-2 on Saturday afternoon inside the Weisger Center.

Converse Notes:

The Valkyries recorded 64 points, 54 kills, 5 service aces, 5 blocks, 50 assists and 100 digs in the match.
Converse recorded 16 kills in the second set and hit .163 in for the match.
Jasmine Finkley led the team with a 15 kill performance, Evelyn Fitz recorded a double-double with a 13-kill and 19-dig performance.
Both Savannah Ducote and Mackenzie Schmucker recorded double-doubles in the loss. Ducote led the setters with 23-assists and 16 digs, while Schmucker finished with 16 assists nad 11 digs.
Mackenzie Day led the team with 23 digs and Anna Rabon added 18 digs in the loss to the Flying Fleet.

Erskine Notes:

The Flying Fleet recorded 75 points, 58 kills, 10 service aces, 7 blocks, 50 assists and 98 digs in the win.
Erskine recorded a game high 15 kills in the third set and finished with a .167 hitting percentage against the Valkyries.
Meredith Hollinger led the team with 22 kills, Grace Schneider recorded 12 kills and Ali Angell finished with 9 kills.
Meghan DeWalt led the team with 28-assists and 4-service aces, while Schneider posted a team best 35 digs in the win.
