SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Even with a 3-3 draw with Francis Marion on Wednesday evening, Converse University men's soccer program remains the only unbeaten team in Conference Carolinas as the Valkyries finish out their conference regular season campaign. Converse moves to 10-1-4 overall and 8-0-3 in conference play while Francis Marion moves to 6-5-5 overall and 5-2-3 in conference action.
 
The Valkyries struck first as Felix Frenz scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Ricky Cardozo. The Patriots then answered and added a plus one to take the lead going into halftime.
 
Hayden Gensler scored back-to-back goals within four minutes of each other to give Converse the 3-2 advantage, however, Javier Bello for Francis Marion scored the tying goal with just under four minutes remaining in the game.
 
Gensler led the team with two shots, two shots on goal and two goals followed by Cardozo who had one shot, one shot on goal and one assist.
