SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Converse University senior setter
Savannah Ducote became just the fourth player in program history to record 1200 career assists, but the Valkyries were overmatched as they fell 3-1 to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday night.
Converse Notes
- The Valkyries recorded 33 total kills and hit .068 for the match against the Crusaders.
- As a team the Valkyries recorded 10 service aces, 8 blocks, 30 assists and 71 digs.
- Jasmine Finkley led the team in kills (9), aces (4) and blocks (4). Evelyn Fitz finished with 8 kills and 14 digs.
- Savannah Ducote recorded 15 assists and Mackenzie Day led the team with 25 digs in the loss to Belmont Abbey.
Belmont Abbey Notes
- Belmont Abbey registered 56 kills and registered .148 hitting percentage.
- As a team the Crusaders recorded 6 service aces, 3 blocks, 47 assists and 88 digs.
- Jenna McCullough posted a team high 19 kills, Hayley Davidson was second on the team with 12 kills and Baylea Botello had 7 kills in the match.
- Caitlyn Faber posted a team high 40 assists and Zoe Schuberth recorded a team high 27 digs. Caitlyn Faber and Caroline Dobson both registered 15 digs in the win for Belmont Abbey.
