SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In a hard-fought battle at Weisiger Stadium on Tuesday evening, the Converse Valkyries came out victorious with a 3-2 win over the Erskine Flying Fleet. Converse is now 4-10-1 overall and 1-8-1 in conference play while Erskine falls to 0-13-1 overall and 0-9-1 in the conference.
 
Things started on the right foot for the Valkyries as they scored first with a goal by Raegan Cash, assisted by Savannah Mellon. A little over 10 minutes later, Skylar Lund would score off an assist from Ellie Gore. Erskine answered shortly after, making it a 2-1 game going into the half.
 
Four minutes into the second half would be all the time needed as the Flying Fleet put up their second and last goal of the game. Kaylee Couder secured the win for Converse in the 86^th minute to give the Valkyries their fourth win of the season.
 
Couder led the team with four shots, three shots on goal and one goal. Gore followed with three shots, one shot on goal and one assist. Keeper Daelynn Perry ended the night with three saves after seeing five shots.
