DUE WEST, S.C. – It took less than nine minutes for the Converse University men's soccer team to race out to a 2-0 lead over Erskine on Wednesday night as they cruised to a 2-1 win over the Flying Fleet at Huggins Field.
In the fourth minute of the game
Fabio Pasini found the back of the net to open up the scoring for the Valkyries. Four minutes later
Sergi Quixal found
Gero Wolters for the second goal of the game. The Valkyries maintained their lead through the halftime break.
In the 61
st minute of the game William Mashburn found Andres Rojas for the Flying Fleet's only goal of the game. Erskine appeared to be playing very aggressively throughout the night as they picked up six yellow cards as a team.
Wolters led the Converse offense with five total shots and two shots on goal, Pasini finished second on the team with four total shots.
David Windmiller made four saves while picking up the win in goal for the Valkyries.

- 85th minute Nicholas Gartung earned a yellow card
- 86th minute Corentin Serbource and Daniel Rodriguez both receive a yellow card for Erskine.

Converse will stay on the road this week and travel to Shaw on Saturday night. First kick is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
