SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Lees-McRae College on Wednesday evening at McCracken Field.
In the 27
th minute of the contest Zach Aversano scored on a penalty kick to start the scoring for Lees-McRae. In the 60
th minute of action
Hayden Gensler scored his team leading fifth goal of the season and was assisted by
Tobias Bruecher. Johannes Oeksnevad scored the go-ahead goal for Lees-McRae off a pass by Connor Hahn.
First Half Notes:

- 32nd minute, Tamino Brown receives a yellow card.
- 36th minute, Zach Aversano receives a yellow card.
- Lees-McRae outshot Converse 5-3 in the opening half of play.
- Converse appeared to be the more aggressive team as they committed five fouls in the opening half of play.
Second Half Notes:
- 60th minute, Hayden Gensler scores on a pass from Tobias Bruecher.
- 77th minute, Johannes Oeksnevad scores the game winner off a pass from Connor Hahn.
- 88th minute, Owen Collins receives a yellow card.
- 89th minute, Fletcher Dyson receives a yellow card.
- Lees-McRae outshot Converse 6-4 in the second half of action, while Converse committed a four fouls in the second stanza.
