The Series
This is the first time Converse and Bloomsburg have met in program history. This is the second meeting between Converse and Millersville. Millersville defeated Converse 7-0 in Charlotte, N.C. during the 2018 campaign.
 
Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries are averaging a goal a game, 14.5 shots per game and 6.5 penalty corners per game.
  • Eryn Follett and Mira Polzer are tied for the team lead in goals scored (1), points (2), total shots (5) and shots on goal (4).
  • Layla Frost, Luisa Fasold and Bella Pistilli have each recorded an assist in the first two games of the season.
  • Ciriaca Petitto became the first Valkyrie ever to be named SAC Player of the Week after her shutout performance against Mount Olive in the season opener.
  • Both Caroline Bailey and Kathryn Daniels saw action in the second game of the season against Belmont Abbey.
Bloomsburg Notes:
  • The Huskies are 1-2 on the season with their lone victory coming against Pace University this past week. Bloomsburg defeated Pace by a final score of 1-0 in their home opener.
  • As a team Bloomsburg is averaging 1.0 goal a game, 18.0 shots per game and 4.0 saves per game.
  • The Huskies have taken 35 corners this season, while their opponents have recorded just 14 corners over a three-game span.
  • Alyssa Broadt, Arden Morgans and Kristen Robinson are currently tied for the team lead in goals scored this season with one.
  • Alicia Carr leads the team with 11 total shots and 7 shots on goal.
  • Abby Shaffer has started every game in goal for the Huskies this season. Shaffer has made 12 saves on 28 shots faced.
Millersville Notes:
  • Millersville is 2-0 on the season and is currently ranked No. 6 nationally after defeating St. Thomas Aquinas 7-0 and Frostburg State 6-0 to open up the season.
  • Millersville is in the middle of six game home stand the spans until September 20th.
  • Millersville is averaging 6.50 goals per game, 25.0 shots per game and 15.0 penalty corners per game.
  • Millersville has outshot opponents 50-5 this season and has taken 30 penalty corners, while opponents have taken just 3 total corners this season.
  • Bri Harsh leads the team in goals scored (5), points (11), total shots (7), shots on goal (7) and game-winners (1).
  • Kayla Michaels and Morgan Saunders each have a pair of goals on the season, Michaels is tied for the team lead in total assists with two on the year.
  • Kerstin Koons has not seen a lot in the first two games of the season as the starting goalie. Koons has made three saves on three shots faced.
