Game Recap: Softball |

Softball Finishes Season with Contests Against SWU and NGU

Central, SC/ Tigerville, SC-

Softball traveled to Southern Wesleyan Friday for a doubleheader before traveling to Tigerville on Saturday to take on North Greenville in their final doubleheader of the year. Offense would be hard to come by for the Valkyries as they were only able to plate 1 run across the 4 games. The season comes to close for the Valkyries and while it did not end how they would have liked, there are some positives to look forward to going into the 21-22 season.

Statistical Season Recap:
Allison Plafcan led the Valkyries in batting average, OPS, hits, slugging percentage and on base percentage. She also drew 12 walks on the year.
Brooklyn McElrath led the team in doubles (7) and Home Runs (1).
Kaylah Rocha posted an impressive 87.5% stolen base percentage.
Reagan Owens was impressive all year accumulating 35 strike outs across 20 appearances. She also threw complete games 14 times.
Grace Mckinney and Allison Plafcan tied for a team best .966 fielding percentage. McKinney had 208 catches on the year and Plafcan registered 204. McKinney was also part of 7 double plays on the year.
