Spartanburg, SC- The Flying Fleet of Erskine entered today's contest winning 6 of their last 8 contests and they continued their success on Tuesday versus the Valkyries. 

Game 1 Recap: Erskine got a complete game 128 pitch performance from Hannah Houge to move past the Valkyries in game 1. Houge also struck out 12 Converse batters in the game. Ryan Finazzo recorded 2 hits and an RBI in the loss for the Valkyries. Converse also committed 4 errors in the game which allowed for the Fleet to score 7 unearned runs. 


Game 2 Recap: Houge returned to the mound for game 2 and recalled much of her success from game 1. She struckout 9 Converse batters and pitched a shutout through 6 full innings. Reagan Owens held the fleet in check through 4 innings only allowing 3 runs while the Valkyrie offense had several threatening chances at the plate. Houge proved to be up to the task each time though as she thwarted the danger. 


On Deck: The Valkyries welcome Emmanuel College to Tyger River Park on Saturday, March 27th for a Conference Carolinas doubleheader.
